A House agent who tweeted that Trump’s latest tweet on the house agents episode was not accurate has resigned.
Rep. Jim Jordan, a conservative Republican from Ohio, resigned Friday after he was accused of making false statements.
The Ohio Republican tweeted that “House agents are agents of the Constitution.”
He later deleted the tweet and apologized.
Jordan said the tweets were “incorrect and incorrect,” but that he believes he has a right to speak out on behalf of the House and its agents.
