A new building in the village of Dharwad in Maharashtra has been erected in the wake of the floods in 2017.
Dharwads construction is part of the Rs.2.6 crore project to replace a house with a modern home in the Dharwan region of the state.
The house was built in the 19th century by a family of Durbanis who had moved to Dharwar after the war with Britain in the late 18th century.
It was converted into a house by the family who were also members of the Dholavarh Hindu Temple.
It has a modern facade and was constructed in the year 2017.
In 2017, Dharwattha district witnessed a major disaster, with nearly 2,000 people killed and over 1,000 homes destroyed.
